Brigadier General (Res.) Yossi Kuperwasser is the former head of the Research Division at the Israel Defense Forces’ Intelligence Corps, as well as the Director General of the Ministry of Strategic Affairs. During his military service, he served among other positions as the Central Command’s Intelligence Officer and as the Intelligence Attaché to the United States. He also participated in the Yom Kippur War and the First Lebanon War.

Since the Biden administration took office, and even more so in the past year, the architecture that governed the Middle East for decades has been undergoing dramatic shift. As of yet these changes are still in the making and may still be reversable, but already the implications for Israel are far reaching.
